Making Music in Cornwall April 19th, 2012

Cambiata Choir recognises the Changing Voice of talented Boys and Men who love to sing here in Cornwall and the IMS master classes by the Hungarian violinist, Sándor Végh are a wonderful opportunity for Young Musicians studying here in Cornwall.

IMS Prussia Cove Spring Concerts

2012 sees the 40th anniversary of the founding of the IMS master classes by the eminent Hungarian violinist, Sándor Végh. Over those 40 years distinguished musicians have passed on their experience and insight to outstanding young musicians who have flocked from around the world to further their musical education in the peace and beauty of West Cornwall. During the seminar public concerts are given by both Maestri and young musicians.

The concerts on 20thand 21st April are given by young musicians many of whom have already started out on their performing careers. Every concert programme is different and the Maestri concerts are detailed here. It is worth remembering that some of the current IMS Maestri, including Artistic Director Steven Isserlis, originally came to the seminars as students. The IMS concerts give audiences the chance to hear both distinguished musicians at the height of their powers and those who may achieve similar eminence in the future.
